Short Description: Airworthiness Certificate!!

Reached a huge goal today! Designated Airworthiness Representative (DAR), Dan McGeehee from Stockton, CA was at the hanger at 9:30 this morning. After looking over the aircraft and the associated logs and documentation for several hours, he issued the Special Airworthiness Certificate to conduct Phase I flight testing! I think I had goose-bumps for 2 hours after he left :-) Dan was a pleasure to work with, and I really enjoyed hearing about his adventures in Alaska, and in the Navy, and later at the FAA. I spent the rest of the day, at a leisurely pace (on cloud 9 mostly), putting the access panels and interior back together. This plane is ready to fly!! What a day!! :-)
