Short Description:  Intake and misc items

Over the last two weeks I was able to finish the induction system. I once again needed to change the inlet ramps but the main components are done. I still need to flox between the ramps and the tubes along with some minor adjustments to the tubing gaps but they are looking good. nEXT UP FOR THESE IS THE FLOX TREATMEANT AND GAP ADJUSTMENT.

I installed the prop again for the first time since lengthening the cowl. The gap is slightly larger than I would have liked at about 1/4" but significantly better than the 5/8" + that it was. So I'm happy with that. Next up for the cowl is fine tuning and some finish prep.

I recieved the throttle cable from Aircraft Spruce and mounted that in place. It is a 1/4" thick cable so it took some wrangling to get it into place. I final installed the mixture and throttle cables and the throttle body. One last thing for these is to pick up some non hardened bolts for the cable mounts, drill the heads for safty wire, and finally be done with the controls.

I fabricated and mounted the four tension rods for the underside of the baffling. The two outboard ones were a serious PITA as they had to be routed around the oil drain lines and still hold the baffle segments tight. To do this, I removed the exhaust on the port side so I didn't have to work around all of the piping. I was confident enough on the Starboard side that I left the exhaust in place. Inboard ones were easy as there was no interferance with those. I still need to do a little fine tunig on the outboard two but I will do that when I pull the baffles to powder coat them. Next for this is to get ready for the baffle seal.

Lastly I installed the two visors I have for the cockpit. I need a couple of washers yet but they will do the job nicely. I'm also starting the registration process and will probably pickup some paint for things like the intake, lower cowl ramp, and the inside of the cowling. I don't think I will do white, maybe a grey.
