Applied Micro/Flox/Epoxy to Bottom Hinge Lines. This will strengthen and stiffen the edges prior to attaching the hinges. The forward bottom of the cowling is not a straight line. Extra flox mixture was added to the low areas in an attempt to slightly straighten the hinge pin run. This should make pin installation and removal smoother compared to trying to install the pin in a hinge that follows the wavy contour. I am planning on installing the hinge pin from the rear going forward. The pin will be secured to the cowling just forward of the cowl flap hinge that will run perpendicularly. This way, I'll be able to remove the bottom hinge pin and cowl flap hinge pins in one area.
