Garmin has an mandatory SB from 6/09 for certain SL30-40 and G480 radios... free warranty repair expired 9/30/10 ($400, I understand). No notification from Garmin and nothing on their website. Had to find out word of mouth. Lousy customer service.
Aerotronics couldn't tell me of the mod AE had been done or not..had to wait to get here and pull the radio.
