Spent a lot of time re-hanging the rudder. Did first pass with -3 bolts, then worked on getting the -4's in. Ended up taking rudder bellcrank apart to get enough room to connect rudder pushrods to rudder bracket. Remembered this was tight from before... needed to be at that extreme to get the proper travel.
Then, the middle hinge was a bugger. So close but just wouldn't go. Finally got it. Then....got to work on getting the washers and nuts on. Super-glued washers to nuts... much easier to handle that way. Got them all on slowly but surely. No way to get a torque wrench on them...snugged them up good. Hemostats worked great...need to pick up a few more at OSH later this week.
Need tgo trim top of VS horn, or rudder horn, for clearance. Spacing was OK with the -3 bolts in during construction, but too snug with the final -4s in.
Left camera at airport...will upload pics next time.
Dan Reeves and brother Matt and son Steven stopped by the hangar. Dan is building a 7A in hangar next store...all loaded up and driving to OSH. Matt built a 320.
