Brief Description:  work on plane while engine is rebuilt

Brought fuse stand down from cabin to support aft end. Wiped down oil on belly, left fuselage, left main gear, rudder, etc. May need one more pass on the belly with a creeper.
Pulled out seats and forward interior panels to more easily access top engine mount bolts behind panel... quite a job, but do-able. Plan to WLS prime rest of interior while plane is down and seats are out.
Add one AN7 flat washer to each engine mount flange at firewall. This will push engine out about 1/8" and should eliminate the slight rub on lower cowling flage from spinner. Bolts I had for bottom (20A) were too long. Orig. were 13A...will order some 14 and 15A and put them in. Torqued top bolts to 45 #/feet. Top bolts an7-26A
Capped or taped all open hoses. Check gascolator...drains OK. Downloaded edited logs file to both AFS's using backup battery power... should correct not picking up #5 and #6 CHT and EGTs. Attached battery minder to A battery.
Clean RTV off of all baffle parts...re-bend baffles where needed.
Alan Barrett called..engine received today and he started to look at it. Looks like 90 degree NPT fitting at remote base was cross-threaded...only 2 turns holding. Getting clarification from him whether it was the B nut side or the part that goes to the fitting into the remote base. Asked him his opinion on remote bases. I feel so stupid. Should have test run the engine after working on those fittings last time...I know better. He said to just use anti-seize... no teflon tape as Airwolf said to do.
