Took 4 hours including faulty test equipment fittings and tracking down 2 static leaks... might be just one. Backup UMA small altimeter apparrently has some leak down. By-passed that instrument to get test to pass. Tech also thought alternate static valve had a leak. Isolated that for test and now have it plugged. seems odd to have 2 sources, especially since the test failed about half way through (with just alt static plugged at first). 20000 feet down to 7000 was OK, then bad below that. Tech thinks something variable inside altimeter. I don't know... seems odd.
The alt static valve (brand new) passed my "blow test" when installed. I guess the fitting/insertion could be bad.
