Brief Description: test ELT voltage; only .61 volts
ELT has never operated. Pulled ELT unit and removed battery portion for testing. Only .61 volts...s/b 12 volts.
ACK had a huge delay in geeting their COSPAS approval. There are pics of stacks of these things ready to go...for years. I think the batteries were expired before they shipped. Received my panel in 4/10...ELT not received until 4/19/11. Supposedly a 5 year battery.
Will contact ACK and see what they will do. In any event I will need a new battery.
