Brief Description: move rudder pedals forward .7 inch
After installing the pedals last time and having the center delrin guide block protrude aft of the bulkhead brace, I thought more about the placement. It had been difficult to originally get an accurate 3 inch spacing measurement due to the irregular surface of the firewall. And, I am tall, so more forward will be better. Checked for ample rudder travel at new position and should be OK.
Moved the pedals forward .7 inches so that the aft end of the center guide is flush with horizontal support across aft end of firewall. After moving, I can still get 3 inch spacing to firewall depending on how I measure. Needed to fabricate a 1/8" shim for center guide.
