Brief Description: mess with door seal pump; adjust, troubleshoot
Long, stupid story. Locked in plane, stuck. Climbed out baggage door. Seal stayed inflated and could not get door open.
Red plug should not be there! While working yesterday, I saw that the tape that was cover the exhaust port was falling off. So, I figured I would properly plug this "uneeded port". Plugged it.
This prevented the seal from deflating when turned off!!
Adjusted pressure switch by watching the seal make contact from the inside as the seal is inflated. Lower forward corner seems to be the area where the seal needs the most movement in order to seal. Will keep an eye on it and adjust further as necessary. The seal is quite amazing to see in action.
Toggle switch on door activates and also releases pressure prior to opening. Aft is off and forward is on. Need to re-label this switch as label was removed to apply the WLS primer
