Brief Description: wire up Sunray Plus LED wing tip lights
Received the Aeroleds SunRay Plus tip lights today from ACS. ACS has been just excellent during the build. I ordered this stuff Monday night and it showed up on Wednesday. Most every order I have placed has been in stock and received in 2-3 days... no down time waiting for parts. You "may" find it a bit cheaper if you shop around, but they are competitive and their service is outstanding. Carry almost everything you need.
Spent some positioning light on aft bulkhead template...marked prelim hole location on pattern. Hole should be 2.25-2.3". I had a 2" and a 2 1/2" hole saw at hangar. Too small and too big. I think I have a 2 1/8" hole saw at home. Will use that then grind bigger as/if necessary.
Wired molex connectors to Sunrays and to wing wiring. Wired Red and Black only as VP will control wig-wag. left other 3 wires shrinked wrapped so I can use in future if needed. 5 pin molex connector and pins included in light kit.
Wiring is done. Just need to build the bulkheads into the wing tip. Aircraft back together and ready for flight.
Need some shorter 6-32 screws and flat and lock washers for light mounting. I think I will visit the aviation dept at Lowes tomorrow for these.
