Brief Description: pull R mag; install Garmin RPM sensor
Tried to use old TCM sensor that worked fine with AFS system. RPMs were really jumping around. AFS is a 5V system and Garmin is 12V. This UMA T1A9-2 sensor is spec'd at 10-30v. Had to pull 2 induction tubes, the mag wiring harness and the R mag to get at the plug. A real PITA. Installed sensor with some blue 242 Loctite. Put back together and ring out to ensure new color coding was correct to GEA24. Need to run up enigne to test... too windy and many Tstorms around today WH is signal; Bl-Wh is ground, plus shield Or-Wh is 12v+
