Brief Description: AOA calibration & 4 way TAS calculation
Got a decent WX morning for a change. Cold but calm with a high overcast. Did the AOA calibration sequence per the Garmin manual. Only went down to 74 kts IAS. Stall speed should be about 62... but we don't stall Lancairs...on purpose anyway! I was targeting 70 for the stall warning AOA but plane was getting a little mushy and I felt a bit rusty since I haven't flown for 2 months. Might redo that calibration point.
AOA chevrons did NOT appear on final approach back to KCXY. Need to research that.
Also did a 4 way TAS GPS GS test. Did at 18-2500 and 4500'. Average ground speed seems to be with .5 knot of indicated TAS We'll call that good.
Will upload a pic of the actual AOA settings from the G3X screens. Forgot to get while still at airport. Uploaded.
