Tried it a few times this morning to see if it would boot up...no joy. Was hopeful that I could boot it at least once to try to retrieve the settings using the hold FUNC and turn on sequence.
Stein Bruch form SteinAir had suggested checking the dimmer controls and the backlight setting...diimmer position didn't seem to matter.
Resigned myself to pulling it out to send to Garmin. Pulled out and looked things over..nothing obvious to me. Thought I would try to reseat it and try it again, although it seemed to be seated fine and no pins were bent when I took it out. Anyway...it has been cycled on/off 6-8 times in a row with no issues. Retrieved all the set up settings and took pics....see sep. folder fo 6-11-11.
Thanks Stein....I am not even his customer. He was much more help than Aerotronics that I paid big bucks for this panel.
Note...seems to come on in the on position versus going from ground or standby at a certain speed. Will fool with that during test flights.
