My old 5 HP, 20 Gal. Campbell-Hausfield compressor did fine with the grinders and drills, but did not do well with the DA sander.
So, picked up a 29 Gallon, 4 HP,2 stage 220V compressor from Harbor Freight. This one is rated for 14 CFM at 90 PSI. Sander calls for 8 CFM and all the reserach I did indicated that you should size the compressor at 50% more than the required load. Belt driven and oil lubricated. $339 at HF.
Converted the old dedicated 20a 115V circuit to 220V 20a.
Phil helped me unload it from the Escalade and get it positioned.
So far I am pleased with it...very quiet.
decided to leave it mounted to the shipping pallet
wil make up a shorter hose to connect tank to hose reel - didn't have the fittings available
