Brief Description:  Weight and Balance day

Borrowed Dick Duncan's electronic scales

Jacked plane to get scales under wheels- took a weight just for fun. 2172# empty and before leveled.

Leveled with laser level... needed a bunch of shims for nose wheel. Lots of trial and error. Shims on nose weighed 4#.

Drop plumb bobs and strike centerline and line across mains. Establish 51.25" FS at front of firewall. See W&B file for exact arms and weights.

Empty weight = 2172# with primer on, with finished seats in, tow bar in, POH and manuals in. No carpet, headliner, coverings on interior panels, and no paint.

Dick came over and helped me with weighing with me in front seat, me in back seat. Used to later calculate arms. Then called fuel truck and added 20 gallons per side..... also re-calibrated EFIS fuel readins for 10 and 20 gallons while I was at it. Reweight so I could calculate fuel tank arm.
