Forgot my camera this trip; spent a lot of time working on the toy box for the Sutton boys. It is huge!
Anyway, the following was doen on the plane:
Sand belly again...ready for coat #3 of micro of the "rough" body work
Design and fit new access cover for right fuel access in fairing
Reinforce left wing tip; pre-peg and flox aft end of wing tip
Cut and trim new fuel access cover; research need for aft panel cut out for flaps...concluded that it will be neded
micro belly...pass #3
add 20 nutplates to tip end of left wing on 3" spacing, #19 hole, #39 for rivits, countersink with perma grit in micro stop cage
Long, frustrating research on fuel vent in wing tips....several contradictions between old and new manuals, parts list, parts provided, etc. Will e-mail Justin @ Lancair...probably won't be much help
