Brief Description:  sand and prep for 1st shot of primer

added Loehle Wonder-fill and sanded/ prepped
shot primer on ailerons, elevators, rudder, rudder and elev, trim tabs
WLS grey primer... purchased from Lancair...was about $155 for the 1 gallon kit.
4:1 with no thinning required; used 32 oz. of grey base and 8 oz. of catalyst
Used my old Craftsman airless sprayer...worked fine; used .7 nozzle
allowed 15 minutes for the blend to "flash" then started spraying....time to touch was more like 3+ hours and was still a bit tacky ...was 80 and low humidity today. Got out the halogen lights to help things along so I could shoot the bottom side yet tonight. Shot the bottoms at 6:15 PM.

Long day, but I felt I finally made some progress. Last few weeks was a lot of get ready bodywork that seemed to have no end in sight.

My plan is to do "rough bodywork", fly in primer, and then let paint shop do final body work and paint.

Not sure if the Wonder-fill is worth the cost and extra effort; and their customer service sucks. Might try top of HS without the WF
