Brief Description: mount rack; drill new hole for clip nutplate, Tig
Took alot of fine tuning trimming to get GMC 507 rack to fit correctly. Used a hand file mainly. Also had to file off screw bumps on top of rack. Drilled 2 new holes for clip style nut plates. One each side in existing rails.
Garmin manual shows a .10" bezel overlap to rack/panel. Hardly! Thankfully I trimmed carefully short of cut line and worked in with hand file. GMC head is snug in rack and there is no way there is a .10" overhang to hide cut line. Looks OK though.
Also note that G340 audio panel is about .05" wider on each side than GMC 507. You would think that Garmin would make there whole "stack" line up. Not!
