When I went and put the hatch in the oven the other day, it did more than just boil epoxy into the oven. It severely expanded the CRAP green foam and cause delams on the inside of the hatch. Well, this was enough to inspire surgery. This time however, I'd do away with the 1/2" foam all over and just use 3/8" blue foam bracing strips. Much like the cowling stiffeners, these will do well in making the hatch rigid without excessive foam. Man that green stuff is CRAP. Tomorrow I may have time to layup the 2 plies Glass underneath and let it cure ON the nose of the airplane in position to ensure the correct shape. I'm excited to see how this one turns out :)
