1 Ply of BID is laid down over a bed of flox that fills the gaps. This will re-strengthen the areas I butchered in removing the first hardpoint. Left over flox was used in the Bulkhead upper rim after carving out the foam creating a trench for the flox. NOTE: (This Epoxy used was the FAST Curing EZ-POXY which is a lighter shade than the slow.)
The next step was to fill the low areas on the hatch door with 1 final coat of Z-Grip. Being that I'm at this stage I went ahead and painted the 2 hinge halves with Rustoleum Universal Spray Paint in Satin Black. I've had a small area of paint on the trim wheel chip off, so I'm a little concerned that the engine enamel is a little brittle for this bird. We'll see how the paint holds up on this hinge and I may re-paint the other metal pieces if this turns out to be durable.
