Having dual 500W heat lamps is a real help when needing to do several rounds of primer like this jobs calls for. I was able to sand down the scoop enough to lay down 2 rounds of primer. The first round was 2 wet coats, then wet sanded after 2 hours under the heat lamps. The second round of primer was also another 2 coats. Brushing on the primer also has the advantage of not using any reducers so the build thickness is great. I'm also using the black primer as it's doing a great job showing me the low and high spots that will be tackled tomorrow with Z-Grip. Heck, I may even use dry micro instead if I have enough cure to lay it on tonight. Either way, grey primer should be here in no time. This setup needs to be flying by Friday.
