Brief Description:  Cowls get sanded and primed

LOTS of sanding today. The first thing to do was to DA sand the lower cowling down to a good rough contour. Without mounting it to the airplane, I don't have a reference to how much micro should be removed from the perimeter so I left it somewhat thick. I then sanded down all the spot filler on the Top cowling as well and added a couple Z-grip dabs here and there. I then had enough primer left over and mixed from last night to lay down 1 coat on both cowl halves. Again, this primer is more of a guide coat than anything else, so the thickness doesn't matter. Tomorrow they will be fitted to the fuselage and sanded flush with the airplane in prep for the skim coats. I'll need to let them cure a full 3 days after that before applying the final primer coats which will take me into the weekend.
