The nice thing about having a light engine is the fact that the gear bow doesn't fully spread. This allows me to get about 70 landings before needing to rotate the tires on the wheels. I will be recording how many more landings I can get before retiring these tires, but 70 is about the max most of the heavier lycoming birds are getting. I plan to see about 120 or so. Tires and tubes are pretty cheap so this is offically penny pinching. But heck, I also got to fully clean the brakes, discs, and pack the bearing with new grease so it was time well spent :) Now if I can only grease those landings :)
