Brief Description: Bent aft end of Lt upper longeron, bent Rt longero
Bent aft end of Lt upper longeron, bent Rt longeron fore and aft. It was easier today but there is still the need to bend and re-bend the angles in different planes until they are at the right deflections and still lay flat on the ground when done.
Pictures of the project really help in the quality control of the project. While reviewing the pictures of the upper longeron bending, noticed how I had been over zealous in the aft bends, bending to 6" vs 5" called for in the plans. The aggressive bend is shown in the following pictures. Both aft end bends were corrected to the 5" deflections. This is shown in the representative Rt. aft deflection picture that folows.
These bend complete the lateral deflections of the upper longerons. Tomorrow, I'll make the downard deflections in the longerons.
