Brief Description: Bent upper longerons' fwd downward deflection
Bent upper longerons' fwd downward deflection. This was done after checking the prior bends with a digital level.
Yesterday, I bent the longerons using a ruler, an aluminum bar straight edge, and a chalk reference line. The bending stopped when the required number of inches had been achieved.
Today, when I checked the bends with the digital level for the specified degrees of deflection, I found the aft deflections were about 75% greater than needed. Therefore, I checked all bends and adjusted as needed. Having seen the degree of error present after the first bending, the digital level seems like the best refeerence for the longeron bending.
