Brief Description: Attached the elevators to the HS
Attached the elevators to the Horizontal Stabilizer, first the right, then the left. Started by inserting the bolt and determined washers to the right elevator horn and then into the hinge bearing. The Temporary Hinge Pins were inserted into both hinges. I really like the Temp. pins from Avery's! Definitely easier then I can imagine doing the job with anything else.
There is excess HS skin on the outboard edges. This excess does an excellent job holding the elevators in a neutral trim position. It will have to be trimmed off later. I was initially concerned about this extra skin but Bruce said it will be trimmed away to allow elevator free movement.
