Brief Description:  My Plane Got Winged Today!!!

My Plane Got Winged Today!!! As usual, my logging usually lags well behind my progress. I am skipping much of it for now to get this day logged. It was a long day but very rewarding. By the end of the day, all of the wing bolts except two had been inserted and torqued. The last two bolts were on the left side and these where the two bolts that were the subject of Van's Service Bulletin. May people have neglected to install these bolts, probably like I would have, since they are not in the drawings nor the instructions. The bolts are needed to prevent torsion of the spar in certain high load conditions. But these last two bolts theough the fuselage spar box were not aligned with the wing spar holes. These were holes drilled by Van's and I didn't want to alter these precision drilled holes without Van's advise. I'll be calling them.
I want to thank the boys for their outstanding assistance. It was they who really got the wings on the plane. Their ideas and thoughful solutions overcame all adversity. "Its a problem. But there is a solution" was their words when I was tired and frustrated. Just what I needed to hear.
At the end of the day, I took a picture that I love. We were the only ones on the airport, quiet and the darkness was all enveloping. The lights in the wings were newly wired and when tested, came to life. The aircraft sitting quietly, wings i
