Installed Baggage Door Latch Blocks. The hardest part of this task was getting the latch blocks to stay in place with tape while the location at which they line up with the latching rods was determined by trial and error. Eventually, the positions were determined and the blocks were removed after back drilling the blocks to mark the screw locations for mounting. The blocks were then drilled on the drill press. First the screw holes were drilled to #30 then opened to #19. These holes were countersunk for the #8 Screws on the surface that faced into the baggage compartment. The latch holes were slightly countersunk to help the latch bars to locate the hole.
