Remover Tape From the Tips' Exterior. The tape did cause the escaped epoxy from the cut lines to follow the contour of the exterior of the tips. But there was quite a bit of excessive epoxy around the repair and in places where it should not have been due to drips and rushed work. This will be all fixable and I am looking forward to learn how I will do the repairs. It will be cosmetic. There are some gaps that will need to be filled but the overall results seem solid.
