Brief Description:  Altered the Fit of Cowling Right Lower Aft Corner

Altered the Fit of Cowling Right Lower Aft Corner. Started by cutting the excess glass section out of the firewall edge. The piece was about 1" wide and ran from about 6" above the wrap around and extended midline about 4" on the bottom of the cowling. A small wedge extending forward from the area of removal, about 4" long, wass made at the point of maximum bulging. From this point, a cut running forward was made about 2/3 of the length of the cowling. This was to relieve the tension in the fiberglass. A string was used to pull the portion above the cut into position. The lower portion was held in position using a board attached to a stool sitting adjacent to the cowling. The stool was move in toward the cowling and the attached board exerted its force on the lower portion of the split. A battery was needed for weight to keep the stool from backing. With the cowling split approximated, a strip of 3" glass was layed over the split and the area where the excess glass had been cut out.
