Brief Description:  Tried to remove Left tank for Fuel Guardian Instil

Tried to remove Left Tank for Fuel Guardian Instillation. I wanted to remove the tank so that I could lay it on the table and figure the approximate level of about four gallons of liquid in the tank in the flight attitude. To do this, a clear plastic tube will be connected to the drain and the manometer tube will show the level to mount the optical sensor. The problem is that the wing did not want to give up the tank! Without the use of considerable force and manipulation, the tank was not coming off. When the tank was fitted to the wing, it was on a wing jig. There was no problem installing or removing the tank. Now that it is in the wing cradle, there is no means of getting much leverage to remove the tank. I felt there was a better chance of causing inadvertant damage to the wing if I continued attemptsw to remove the tank. Since to left tank can't be laid in the flight attitude on the table because of the pitot tube, I will lay the right wing on the table to determine the sensor location for both tanks.
