Brief Description:  Preparing for temporary attachment of the wings

Preparing for temporary attachment of the wings to the fuselage. While the wings are on the fuselage, the rear spar attachment holes will be drilled. This will set the incidence angle of the wing. The drilling of these holes is a one chance deal. Mess this up and the instructions state it is extremely difficult to repair. This is going to be a slow and steady process with many checks, re-checks and rest breaks followed by some more re-checks.

On the inboard edges of the wings bottom skins, every other hole is supposed to be left open for eventually screwing the fuselage bottom skins to the wings bottom skins. This is not depicted in the wing drawings like they are for the wing upper skins. When riveting the skins, these holes were filled. Today, I removed the rivets from those holes that need to be open. Three inch lines were drawn towards the outboard edge to help with finding the the screw hole locations that connect the wing bottom skin to the fuselage bottom skin once the wings are in place.
