Brief Description: Fabricated Avionics Door in F-866 bulkhead
Fabricated Avionics Door in F-866 bulkhead by drawing the shape on the F-866, drilling the corners of the area to be cut out with a 3/4" Unibit, then cutting the opening using a dremels with a fiber reinforced cutting disc. The edges were filed, sanded with a drum sander, then followed by a small, fine scotchbrite wheel.
A door was fabricated out of 0.032" 6061 T-6 aluminum sheet. A scrap hange was measured and cut to length. A hinge spacer was cut from the aluminum sheet.
