Brief Description: BIG MISTAKE converting the Rudder Pedal parts
BIG MISTAKE converting the Rudder Pedal parts! When the parts were re-assembled, the outside surface of a axel glued itself to the inside of the adjacent tube. I had a hell of a time removing the Axel from the central Brake arms cylinder. I needed to gently rotate and pull the parts apart using a vise and a pipe wrench for grip and leverage. Once apart, using acetone and several rags pulled through the tubes, I removed the Vanish like substance formed by the conversion solution from the parts that make contact with each other. A lot of unnecessary work and risk of parts damage.
Fit rudder attachment angles on the fuselage floor and final drilled the attachment holes to 5/32" for the pulled rivets that will be used.
