Brief Description:  Finished trimming the up elevator stop

Called Van's today. As expected, the elevator deflection limits are measured from the chord line with the elevator in neutral trail position. I re-checked and adjusted the down stop and obtained a 23 degree deflection

Finished trimming the up elevator stop. With the elevator horn quite close to the aft bulkhead, the up stop allows 26.9 degrees (25-30 degrees limit).

Installed the rod bearings in the rudder and mounted the rudder on the vertical stabilizer. I wish I can say that it installed flawlessly. But the counterweight extension on the top of the rudder is rubbing on the aft edge of the Vertical Stabilizer skin in front of it. It appears that the rod bearing will need to be adjusted in length to pull the top more aft to clear the VS skin. Since the rod bearings were installed precisely to the measurements on the drawings, I am going to call Van's again for confirmation of the fix
