Brief Description:  Drilled Elevator horns for pushrod

Measured and drilled a #40 pilot hole in the right elevator horn. That hole was progressively enlarged to a 1/4" hole. I made a block out of red oak that closely fit the gap between the left and right elevator horns. A 3/16" hole was drilled in the block, using the drill press, at a location I had marked that matched the 1/4" hole previously drilled right elevator horn hole. The block was clamped tight between the horns and a 1/4" hole was drilled into the left elevator hole using this guide setup.

Match drilled the holes in the WD-807 Control Column. I removed the brass bushings from the front and rear control sticks and shortened them on the Scotchbrite wheel until they fit snug between the brackets. The end were slightly tapered to match the taper of the brackets to avoid possible future binding of the controls from bent bushings when the stick bolts are tightened.
