Brief Description:  Tested the Propeller Motor

Tested the Propeller Motor with the new Bench Power Unit. The good news is that the blade worked fine. So the prop motor is good. I called Juergen and told him the results. This makes the controller suspect as the source of the problem. Juergen is sending a loaner controller so that I test the system. The fantastic thing is that when I offered to give him financial information to secure the loan, he said he didn't need it and he would just send it! I am shocked at the outstanding level of Customer Service this Company practices. I truly appreciate the trust and respect that this Company has given to me.

Whle re-connecting the propeller motor wires to their terminals, one of the brass stud snapped. The old stop nut was being replaced by a new one because it showed signs og deterioration. The added friction was enough to snap the weak stud. Another conversation with Juergen and the solution was to unscrew the stud from the plate. To do this, I needed to use Vise Grips to grip the stud and progress was very slow. All the while I was concerned that I would break the stud again before I could extract the stud and then that would have been a big problem. Juergen said the factory uses brass screws for the terminalstuds and them cuts the head off just brfore installation. He would send me some with the controller.
