Brief Description:  Took Cowl Flap Tube and Arms to the Welder

Took Cowl Flap Tube and Arms to the Welder. Made the arms from 5/8" x 5/64" steel bar stock. A 1/2" hole was drilled in the stock the divided to yield a 1/2" radius to fit the outside radius of the tubing. The arms were cut to approximately 3" lengths. There is one arm for each side of the cowl flap that will be attached to the cowl flap with an aluminum tube. On each end of the linkage tube, there will be a rod end bearing. The top bearing will have a threaded end to insert through the arm and the other rod end bearing at the cowl flap will be secured using 1/4" Clevos Pins and locking clips. The clevos pins will make the cowl flap detachment easier.
