Brief Description: Installed the Right Re-worked AVCS Modification
Installed the Right Re-worked AVCS Modification. New threaded holes were made about 20 degrees off from the originally drilled holes. The center of the modification was re-indexed to the new position of the new holes.To get the modification installed, the center mating areas of the geared pulley and the modification piece needed to be gently sanded and rubbed to allow the coupled pair to slip over the engine cam shaft. Otherwise, the pair failed to easily fully seat on the cam shaft. The right modification is well seated but it is nearly a press fit and will not easily be removed like the first removal for the modification. The bolts that attach the gear to the modification are thread locked with strong lock solution.
