Brief Description:  Glued the Windscreen in Place with SikaFlex

Glued the Windscreen in Place with SikaFlex. Covered everything I didn't want adhesive on then cleaned all contact points with the SikaFlex Cleaner/Activator, applied SikaFlex Primer, then waited 20 minutes. Applied a bead of SikFlex to the Primed area of the top skin then set the windscreen in place on the bead. More SikaFliex was applied to fill any gaps then the adhesive got a finger swipe to form a fillet. Tape that had been applied to define the boundaries of adhesive application were then pulled and the lines were inspected. I am happy with the results. Excess SikaFlex will be sanded later prior to the application of a epoxy/microballoon fillet. The fillet will be laid to support the fiberglass layup in the area of the windscreen and top skin junction.

When all of the tape and paper was removed, I found two areas where some SikaFlex Primer had gotten onto the windscreen. I thought I had taped it well enough to prevent something like this from happening. Apparently not good enough. At first I was disappointed but then I realized that this was not going to be a major problem. I'll be able to extend the windscreen fairing over the primer marks when I fabricate the fairing.
