Checked all of my wiring continuity from the Pilot and Copilot Stick Grips. Unable to find any problems with my wiring. Called Tim Haas at Approach FastStack who made my aviionics cables and interconnection Hub. Tim is a great resource and a great guy! I told him about the inability to transmit on the radios and the constant static. We worked step by step to to troubleshoot the problems. Tim reading the schematics and problem solving and me doing what he said. To make a long story short, we found a pin that was poorly seated and needed to be pulled into position to correct the G430W com problem. The pin actually slipped out of the locked in position again and needed to be twisted slightly to get it to lock better into position. The G430W now had a side tone but was not received well on the hand held Radio. Tim thinks that the hand held is too close to the G430W and I need to test the comm from a distance. This I'll do later since the hand held radio battery is old and failing. The SL40 com worked with good side tone when tested. As for the constant static, Tim had me disconnect the G430W Com Antenna from the radio. The Constant Rx symbol went away. He said that the Rx should only be on during a message reception. I was therefore constantly receiving something, some kind of interference. I turned off the fluorescent lighting, radios and everthing electric in the shop. Still the Static. Tim asked if the aircraft could be moved out of the shop and tested. I confirmed it could once I disconnected the Battery Tender batteries maintainer. Once I disconnected the Battery Tender, the constant static ended on the radios. The Battery Tender was the source of the radios' static. Problem Solved! If I had to solve this without Tim, it would have been a disaster that would have taken who knows how long. I am very greatful to Tim and his expertise. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient. I can't stress enough how impressed I am with his product and his customer support. Think twice before you attempt
