Brief Description:  Installed the Anti-Splat Stiffener on Nose Gear Le

Installed the Anti-Splat Stiffener on Nose Gear Leg. It went on rather easily. I initially used a pair of clamps to assist with the installation of a bent screw that came with the kit. The bent screw is meant to draw the clamp closed enough to insert the regular bolts and nuts. This work somewhat in that I was just barely able to insert a regular bolt into an adjacent hole when the bent screw snapped. With the aid of a pair of clamps, I was better able to close the space and insert the bolts and nuts. A spacer is inserted into the space between the sides being drawn together to serve as an aid for forming the clamp around the leg. Once the bolts and nuts are tightened securely, the spacer is removed and replaced by the stiffener. The bolts and nuts are then torqued to 150 in. lbs. and torque seal applied.
