Brief Description: Removed the Instrument Panel Equipment
Removed the Instrument Panel Equipment. This required the installation of knife splices on several wires of the Fuel Guardian System.
Another issue was the removal of the Avionics Trays without having to remove all of the wiring from the back of the trays. For the most part, I was able to remove the back panel of most of the trays by loosening a couple of screws. These panel were left in the aircraft and I was able to remove the rest of the instrument panel without much more work.
There were a couple of scratches on the face of the panel formed during the cutting of the panel for instruments. I sanded the panel and applied some 3M Bondo Plastic Metal to fill the scratches. It filled the defects well and was sanded smooth.
