Brief Description:  Switched Front Stick Grip Direction on the Stick

Switched Front Stick Grip Direction on the Stick. When I drilled the stick for the cable, I unintentionally drilled the front side of the stick instead of the rear side. This was made obvious when I started to re-install the front stick and the cable was coming out the front instead of the rear.

After removing the grip, I spun the grip and repositioned the wires of the grip so that now the cable exited the aft side of the stick. The front grip wiring had been repaired earlier after I had damaged a wire by trapping it in the Boss and then trying to insert a screw into the Boss. The ultimate result is that one of the wires going to the Starter Button was shorter then the others and this is now the most limiting wire as to being able to fit everything together inside the grip and being able to close up the grip. As such, while manipulating the grip and its wires during this event, a wire to the starter button separated. I soldered an extension to the formerly shortest wire and re-attached the wire to the switch with some solder. Now there is plenty of wire to the switch and all wires are happy. The continuity of all switches was checked and function correctly.

To remove the switch, I had to grind a 5/16" socket walls down to make it very thin in order for the socket to fit into the switch button recess to remove the retaining nut. Many lessons learned today.
