Brief Description:  Checked the Operation of the Fuel Guardian

Checked the Operation of the Fuel Guardian in the Right Tank. When this tank sensor was installed, I got something on the sensor. It may have been proseal. It could have been a fuel sealant. When I wiped it off, a slight haze remained. I have wondered ever since if this would affect the operation of the sensor. Therefore, I felt this is the right time to make a check of the system before I finish messing with the wing and transport it out to the hangar to await final assembly to the fuselage.

At best, it can be said that I am a student of electricity and all things electronical. This being said, I attached the wires per instructions and powered up the system by attaching it to the battery. The instructions called for a 1/4 amp fuse which I had no luck finding. I installed an inline 1 amp fuse and wired the battery to the controller box with the smallest wire that I had which was 22ga.

The good news is that the tank indicator light illuminated signifying that the tank was empty (which it is)! This is great news! The sensor worked as it should and the system seems to work well also.
