Fitted the Right Tip Lens. First, I divided the dome that is used to produce the two lenses. I cut this with a plastic cutting disc on a dremel tool.
I centered the lens on the right tip after putting blue painters' tape on the tip along the fitting area. With the tip taped in place, I layed down some green painters' tape on the lens along the cut line. The contrasting tapes were used to easily show where to draw the trim line. I discovered that all this taping was unnecessary and free drawing of the line was adaquate for the task. I draw a trim line on the lens using the green tape as a guide then removed the tape. I trimmed the excess material using sheetmetal shears. These worked quite well. I left a small amount of excess material in place to be removed during the fitting process.
The excess material was removed using a belt sander and Perma Grit sanding blocks. Slowly, material was removed until the lens fit.
