Fabricated a fuel pump mount to attach the pumps to the forward left corner of the fuselage. The initial design was minimalistic but while fitting it in the fuselage, it became apparent that I would not be able to rivet the mount in place due to structure interference. I ended up using a scrap sheet of aluminum riveted to the bottom of a 3/4" angle-angle structure that I had already made. This sheet of aluminum on the bottom of the mount will be riveted to the floor. In this way the mount is secure to the aircraft and yet I will still be able to remove the pumps if necessary. The frame of the pumps is bolted using AN3 bolts and nutplates to the angle-angle structure.
Drilled #30 holes in the mount and the floor for riveting. Deburred the holes
