Brief Description: Fabricated a bracket for the Andair Fuel Selector
Fabricated a bracket from 0.042" aluminum for the Andair Fuel Selector valve that replaces the F-883A bracket for Van's fuel selector valve. The bracket used by Van is unusable with the Andair valve because it is too narrow for the Andair valve and it is already pre-drilled for the Van's valve. I fitted the bracket similar to the F-883A. Using a fly cutter, a 1.25" hole was cut for the valve neck insertion. After test fitting, valve cover was used to mark the location for the #20 drilled holes to mount the valve and cover.
The Andair Fuel Selector Valve is a high quality valve that will both selects the tank to use and directs the fuel return to the same tank. The fuel flow through the Eggenfellner Subaru engine is far in excess of the needs of the engine. The excess flow aids in preventing vapor troubles and decreases, but does not eliminate, concerns of small amounts of water contamination of the fuel.
