Brief Description: Started rear throttle installation
Started to install the rear throttle that I ordered back in August. Surprised to find only the drawings and the F-8114A plate. It was what I had ordered per Van's and this is true. I had missed the listing for the entire kit that was listed at the top of the web order page. Even though, I am mad that Van's sells us a fuselage kit that is supposed to be "complete" yet leaves out the rear throttle control. The instructions tell you DURING the building process that the rear throttle "option" should be installed during the armrest installation. This is the first mention that the rear throttle is an option. The fuselage order form does not event mention that the rear throttle control as an option to order. I ordered the rest of the installation kit and gave Van's my suggestion that they either include the throttle in the kit as most buyers would expect or that they list the rear throttle as an option on the fuselage order form.
Removed the recently installed top nutplate from the F-806A-L bulkhead so that is won't interfer with the F-8114A throttle mounting plate.
Cut and filed the throttle opening in the F-860B middle armrest.
Drilled a 1/4" hole in the F-805, F-804C-AL and the F-804C-FL bulkheads using the templates in the rear throttle install instructions. The hole is shown in the third photo (Photo is rotated 90 degrees to the left)
